Description
This is a game worn late 1980s Rollie Melanson Los Angeles Kings jersey. The jersey has been heavily laundered which is typical of Kings jerseys of this era. There is no size tag, but the jersey measures out to a size 54, and has larger goalie cut sleeves. There is some very light pilling on the left side of the collar, from Melanson’s mask. There are multiple loose threads on the crest itself. There are some pulls, and light abrasions on the lower front hem. The right sleeve has one mark just to the side of the “3” in 31 on the sleeve. There are some small pulls, and light abrasions as well.  The left sleeve has a small mark, and some small snags. The inside of both sleeves, near the cuff, have areas of moderate pilling. The fight strap has both salt deposits and a small amount of rust. There is also some light pilling underneath the fight strap on the inside of the back of the jersey.  Nameplate is individual letters sewn onto the plate; there is no evidence of a nameplate change. There is some slight fraying on the numbers on the back of the jersey.
